Summer playdate

Our monthly play date has the babies getting bigger and learning to sit up.  Frankie, being the youngest by two months isn't quite there yet, but the others are over 7 months old now and can sit pretty well.  We enjoyed a gorgeous day, lunch, and baby time at Vasona Park in Los Gatos.  Nicholas and Riley brought toys to play with and I think Cason stole all of them at one point to chew on.   Here they all are showing off their new skills.

too cute... hmmm.....who are you?

Going to get you cat!

Cason loves to chase Sloanie, and Sloanie likes to sit patiently until just the last moment and then runs away.  Somehow this game hasn't gotten old yet for either of them and occurs multiple times a day.  Cason has now learned to crawl up to Sloanie and at the last minute, stop, and slowly reach for him as to not spook him.  Sloanie is still too smart for that move and quickly jumps away.

Sitting up

We will give him credit since it is on film... he is officially sitting up now.  He has just started to go from crawling across the room to turning and sitting up today.  Still too wobbly to let him go it on his own, but we had some practice time in the bed today (mommy was being super lazy this morning at 6:15).  He thought it was great to sit and then fall over into pillows and a soft bed.  (in seeing these photos, his daddy claimed "what is he wearing? he looks like baby Peter Pan...)

The last picture is from when Grammy GG was here.  She tuckered him out so much that he fell asleep eating!

Sitting up, with crash pads

Cason is doing great sitting up now, but you still can't trust him to instantly fall over and bonk his head if you aren't there to catch him.  Nanny Tina has been practicing with him and gave him some pillows as crash pads.

loves the fire engine book

got you surrounded

Keys are pretty fun too

Whoops!  timber... crash... good thing the pillow was there

Passing through town

The family passed through town last week coming home from their trip in Oregon and Grammy GG is staying with us to take care of Cason this week.  A few pictures of their quick overnight stop.

Seven Months Old

Cason,

Each month brings such new things and you are such a happy baby.  I look at video from a month ago and I am surprised how much you change in one month.  You can crawl pretty fast now and are aware of so many more things.  You know the sign for "milk" and if I ask you "do you want a bottle?" when you are hungry, you let me know.. Yes!  So I have learned not to ask that question unless I have the bottle pretty much ready to go.

You are the best eater and have tried more veggies than you mom has in her lifetime.  You have eaten carrots, peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, and parsnips.  You love your fruit too and have eaten bananas!!!, apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, apricots, avocado, and mango.  We enjoy making your food and try to think of new things for you to try every week.

You are working on sitting and can do so now for a long period of time.  We still have to either put pillows around you or sit behind you because if the toy you are playing with excites you, you tend to wiggle too much and fall over.  You still love your measuring spoons, exersaucer and doggies (lovies) to sleep with.

happy 7 months little guy, we love you!

Starting his destructive phase

We can't leave anything in Cason's path now.   Now that he can expertly commando crawl, he finds anything on the ground.  His current loves are anything paper, remote controls, computers and SHOES!!!  So that pretty much means you can leave nothing out right now.  Here's what happens when you leave a magazine on the ground.

Rrrrrriiiiiiip

caught in the act!

What are you taking pictures of?

Oohhh... I am coming to get that camera

I want it
