Two Months Old

Happy 2 months Cason!  We have made a lot of changes over this past month.  Cason can smile and is cooing when he is happy.  He is a happy baby in the morning and wakes around 7:30/8:00 kicking his legs to get out of his swaddle.  Once he is free the cooing goes on and on...  Cason has a few baby friends that we see once a week right now as all the mommies are off on maternity leave.  Cason is the biggest out of all of them, but he is also the oldest by a week.  We see Riley, Charlie and Nick each week which is a good start to our play friends.

Cason still hates tummy time, however got big props from the doctor when she tested him on Monday.  Way to go!  Thanks for not getting mommy and daddy in trouble little guy.  You made them look good even though they have been slacking in that area!  Feeding is sometimes a struggle still as he sure likes the bottle during the day so the added time of pumping is no fun.  I have figured out how to trick him sometimes and get him to nurse.  Nighttime however is no problem... when asking the doctor about it, she said "weird, never heard that one before".  Great... oh well it will make the transition to work easier.

Cason still falls asleep with any type of motion, so car, stroller, baby bjorn... knocks him out.  Hopefully this stays true through my trip to So. Cal on Saturday.

Looks like the book may have put him to sleep

  2. So glad he is doing so well -- it is nice that you have found some friends to share your playdates with -- remember the playdates with Michael, Brian, the Doomey's, the Kollen's and the Duncan's? We all have fond memories of the playdates (and talking amongst the mom's to see what is working well for their child). As you
get older, you might end up like your mom and I -- dinner out every Monday night for our "Therapy Session". Looking forward to seeing you Saturday night and meeting Steve and Cason. Nancy
