You turn the big 1 today. I can't believe it has been a year already. You are such a big boy now and I can't call you a baby any longer. You had such a great past month and have been transitioning into toddlerhood quickly. You are a very happy baby and continue to do new things everyday. You love to laugh and chase us around the house. Kitty gets lots of love from you as well. Your current favorite is the dishwasher and you take all the spoons out for me. If I close it up you throw a minor tantrum until we distract you with something else.
You started to eat more solid foods, cheerios, puffs, mum-mums, holding your bottle (sometimes), and any food that mommy or daddy is eating at the moment you definitely want a bite of. We have to start moving away from our purees to toddler food now, (sigh... we just got down the puree drill).
Walking! Yes you have been walking for a few weeks now. At first it was a few steps here and there out in the open. This week you barely crawl and get most places by walking. You are much faster on the carpet and slip and slide on the wood floors. Unfortunately it is winter and you need socks on to keep warm, otherwise you would be barefoot and able to move around without slipping all the time.
We love all the talking you do. You have your own language now and it is pretty funny when you are demanding something. Your arms flail around and you stare at us repeating your 'words/sounds'. We look at you and try to guess what you are demanding and end up cracking up in the meantime. You know a few sign language words which get you somethings. More often we sign and then you answer back with a grunt, a "na" (=no), or instant sound which means yes.
We are very blessed to have you in our lives, what a year it has been!
