Happy Halloween....Roaaaarrrr....

Our little lion enjoyed his first Halloween.  He got to play with the bowl of candy, hit the street in the stroller dressed as a lion, and carve a pumpkin.  We quickly made a pumpkin as we got home a little late to pull it all together before it got dark.

Quick trip

Uncle Ryan and Auntie Jeannette made a super quick trip up to the Bay area to see a concert on Saturday night.  We were their bed and breakfast accommodations.  Too bad this place comes with a shrieking 10 month old at 6:30 on Sunday mornings.  Cason has learned the triceratops screech and belts it out when he is excited.  That's ok, they woke us up at 1:30am when they stumble in from their night of fun.  Payback.

Pumpkin patch #2

Cason and I had a playdate at a pumpkin patch in Morgan Hill.  It was a zoo with tons of toddler rides and Cason was being a little fussy, so we didn't stay too long.  It will be a fun place to go next year when he can enjoy the rides and train.  He was very into the hay on the ground and would not look up for pictures.

intrigued by the hay

happy to go home...

Football and Halloween Sunday

We wanted to get the daddies involved in a play date, so we mixed it up with football and beer/BBQ to ensure their participation.  Lisa was our gracious host and we all had a great time.  The 49ers pulled out a win which made all the dads happy, including those who were actively watching their fantasy teams.  The babies had great time playing with each other and were super cute in their football apparel and Halloween costumes.  Cason conked out the moment we put him in the car to go home and slept for 2.5 hours that afternoon.  So much excitement for the afternoon.

morning...

Auntie Alice spent the night on Thursday and got to see Cason in the morning.  Momma was up in Tahoe for work, so these pictures are the only evidence she found of her visit.   Hope to see you again soon.

Ten months old

Double digits!  Well in months that is...

What a month, this one flew by with a ton of activity.  Cason you were just an active little one and keep us so busy chasing you around the house.  You have some definite favorite spots around the house that drive us crazy.  They include, pulling all the books out of the bookcase, Sloanie's food and water, trying to climb into the dishwasher or pulling out dishes when I am trying to load dishes, the water heater knobs (took care of that one last weekend with a baby gate), the cords under the computer table, and oh the bathrooms (keeping those doors closed now).  Walking is getting closer as you have been braver and faster on the furniture and also started to use the walker, but crawling is still your preferred method.

You have 4 teeth now and 2 more are coming any day now.  You are becoming very talkative at times and have started saying dada buy mostly we still get a lot of "A" sounds and what sounds like "hey".  You also have started to wave at people you know and just started to wave good-bye to me in the morning.  You are into bigger clothes now and fit well into the 12-18 month range.  Oh growing up so quickly now.

Happy October little one!
