15.5 Months

Our monthly recap was a little late this month.  We had our 15 month doctor's appointment which came with lots of shots.  Cason always feels under the weather after them so our doctor appointments are always on Fridays.  It makes for a long weekend as he is usually fussy due to the shots.  Stats = 33 inches tall (95%), 23lbs 2 oz (30%), and 18.75 head (75%).  Pretty much the same stats as the last two times.

He is doing well in all areas, says about 7-10 words - hi, mama, bobo (which is dog), night night, no!!!, dada, and up that we can understand, others are almost there but only we know what he is asking for.

He can throw and kick a ball, he plays catch with Jayden, gotten over his fear of balloons and loves them now.  He plays fetch with Jayden's dog Charlie.  He will actually take the sock out of the dog's mouth and then throw it.  They play this game quite often I am told.
He really enjoys books now and is starting to recognize pictures such as dog and ball.

Overall we are soon going to be in communication land.  He is trying SO hard to say the words correctly and make us understand what he wants.  Here is a quick video of "night night".

Pirate Ship

The park across the street has a pirate ship that Cason likes to climb into and then slide down the slide... I sing the following to him when we are in there which makes him dance.

When I was one, I had some fun
On the day I went to sea
I hopped aboard the pirate ship
And the captain said to me

Oh we go this way, that way
Forward, backward
Over the deep blue sea

When I was two, I tied my shoe...

When I was three, I skinned my knee...

When I was four, I mopped the floor...

When I was five, I took a dive...

First accident

Well you won't be able to tell by these pictures but Cason had his first significant (auditor speak) accident earlier that day (Monday).  The playground was not nice to him earlier that morning.  As he was scooting down some stairs on the jungle gym his foot slipped and he hit his chin on the step.  The result was his tooth went right through his bottom lip.  Yikes!  Tina said some tears and blood came next but was quickly over.  What a trooper!  He was up playing again in no time.  However he still has a fat lip with a large sore inside his mouth, a small cut on his chin and we can tell it bothers him.  Hopefully it will all heal soon.

Here is our little businessman (CPA?) in training...

Hello?  Hello?

no more bottle

Well it was a battle for all of us, and ultimately Tina won!  Thanks Tina for being persistent and dealing with the bottle tantrums for those few days.  Cason has officially given up the bottle, for a water bottle.  Sippy cups are evil in his eyes, but the water bottle will do.  We are also working on the cup which is during meal times.  Here are some pictures of our happy camper drinking from the water bottle.

mom... stop with the pictures

mmm... milk!

uh oh... Giants gear

It is spring, and that means baseball!  Cason tried out his "Giants" baseball gear he got from Boppa today since it was a cold morning.  He was loving his Giants "skidder" shoes as they had some serious traction and he could move quickly in them.  The hoodie over the pjs was also a great look.  Looks like we have a new little fan for the upcoming season.

Gets into everything

I think Cason's goal in life is just to get into everything.  Yesterday, he took out the bowls in the cupboard and then crawled into the cupboard just to sit there.  He keeps us super busy now since all he wants to do is climb everything.  The chairs, bed, couches, etc.  Anything that is in his way.  Here is him in the cupboard just after his bath, he doesn't stay clean for long.
