Bubble popper

After a few long weeks, I have a backlog of blogs.  However, this one had to go first.  This is one of Boppa's gifts that we assembled today.  We got this reaction every time.  Here is a quick video.

Haircut

Cason got his first haircut last weekend and did not have fun.  He cried most for most of it and was not amused by the car chair, cartoons or any toy we gave him.  Luckliy he was the only one in the place at the time so we just gave up on making him happy and got through it.  In the end he looks all grown up with a cute little boy haircut.  I can't believe he is 13 months.

The first year

Wow it has been quite a year and I can't believe how quickly he is growing up.  Already running around the house and babbling up a storm, his first words are hi (which he says to everyone as they walk in the door) and Kitty which sound like 'itty' as he chases Sloanie around the house.  He now catches him pretty easily and has pulled his tail three time in the past two days.  Sloanie is a trouper and just trots away and eventually hides under the bed.  Here is our little guy by the month for 2011.

Leaves

Fall comes late to California, it actually arrived around Christmas for the tree in our courtyard.  After tracking the leaves into the house for the past two weeks we got around to raking them up.  Cason decided he did not want to be left out as he yelled at me through the sliding door.  So we put shoes on him and let him help.

Muir Woods

We took a day trip up to Muir Woods just outside of San Francisco this week and then had lunch with Auntie Alice in the city.  Muir Woods was beautiful, but next time we will go earlier as it was very crowded by the time we got there.  Cason likes to hear himself talk now and after he had enough of being in the stroller started to holler, so in the end the crowds weren't so bad.
